Sungrow and GOLDBECK SOLAR sign largest European PV project (722 MWp) plus 1 GWh Energy Storage Pipeline

Munich, Germany / Poland, 13 August 2026 — Sungrow, a global leading PV inverter and energy storage system supplier, and GOLDBECK SOLAR, one of the largest Europe’s EPC have strengthened their strategic partnership signing a 722 MWp largest European PV project in Poland and a framework agreement covering a 1 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) pipeline. The formal signing ceremony took place during Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich end of June, underlining the companies’ shared ambition to deliver reliable clean energy infrastructure for one of Europe’s most dynamic renewable energy markets.

The PV framework is linked to utility PV projects in Dobrowo, Kikowo and Sidlowo in Poland. Sungrow will supply their utility-scale inverter 1+X and medium-voltage solutions, SG6600UD-MV and SG8800UD-MV.

Poland's energy transition has reached an important milestone. By the end of 2025, renewable energy sources accounted for more than half of the country's installed power capacity, while solar PV has grown to nearly 25 GW and represents one of the key pillars of Poland's renewable energy expansion.

Against this backdrop, the combined PV and storage framework between Sungrow and GOLDBECK SOLAR reflects a broader market shift: Poland is moving from renewable capacity expansion alone toward integrated energy systems that can generate, stabilize and dispatch clean power more effectively. The 722 MWp PV pipeline supports the build-out of large-scale solar generation, while the 1 GWh ESS pipeline points to the next stage of the energy transition — enabling flexibility, reducing curtailment pressure and supporting a more resilient power system.

“With this agreement, Sungrow and GOLDBECK SOLAR are taking a step from individual project cooperation toward a long-term partnership for integrated clean energy infrastructure. The 722 MWp PV project demonstrates the scale that Poland’s energy transition has already reached, while the 1 GWh storage pipeline reflects what the market needs next: bankable, reliable and flexible solutions that help renewable energy become a stable pillar of the power system. Together with our investment in a factory in Poland, it underlines our commitment to the market.” - Moritz Rolf, Vice President Sungrow Europe for DACH, Nordics, Benelux and Turkey

“For GOLDBECK SOLAR, this agreement reflects our long-term commitment in partnership with Sungrow and building renewable energy systems that combine scale, technical excellence and operational reliability. Together with Sungrow, we are strengthening a partnership that has already proven its value in utility-scale PV and is now expanding into battery energy storage — a crucial element for the next phase of Europe’s energy transition.” - Daulet Baitumenov, Team Lead Category Manager Battery Energy Storage Systems

The signing ceremony at Intersolar Europe 2026 therefore brings together the key elements required for Poland’s next renewable energy phase: GOLDBECK SOLAR’s EPC execution capabilities and Sungrow’s PV and energy storage technology portfolio.
