Tight Deadlines Required Seamless Collaboration

To meet the tight delivery schedule of the Bramley project, Sungrow pulled together dedicated a project team—uniting the technical experts from HQ with on-site engineers. From start to finish, the team ran a closed-loop management system, staying on top of every detail: anticipating risks, tracking real-time progress, coordinating schedules, and even pre-positioning spare parts. When unexpected grid anomalies caused outages, the team leaped into action—diagosing the issue and safely shutting down the system in just 2.5 hours, all while optimizing the system in parallel. Using Sungrow’s Power Plant Controller (PPC), they passed all ancillary service tests in just 1.5 days. Thanks to this tight collaboration and rapid troubleshooting, Bramley reached commercial operation just two weeks after grid connection—72% faster than the industry average.

Proactive Testing Accelerated Commissioning

With on-site limited time and no access to real-time grid charging, the team turned to simulation. By using diesel generators to simulate extreme grid conditions, they were able to configure technical settings in advance and identify key risks like PCS communication issues and battery over-discharge. This early testing allowed for quick fixes, real-time adaptation to UK grid specs, and a smooth, accelerated commissioning process.
