As part of its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability, a hotel in Burgos has enhanced its renewable energy strategy by integrating a battery energy storage system alongside its existing photovoltaic installation. The project was designed to maximize the use of locally generated solar energy, reduce dependence on the grid, and improve the overall management of the site's energy consumption.

The installation combines a 330 kWp self-consumption solar plant with a Sungrow PowerStack battery energy storage system comprising three 225 kWh units, providing a total storage capacity of 675 kWh. Each PowerStack cabinet integrates LFP lithium-ion batteries, a 400 V three-phase PCS, and advanced safety and thermal management features. The system is coordinated by the EMS300CP energy management platform, enabling intelligent control of energy flows, photovoltaic generation, and battery charging and discharging operations.

By storing excess solar energy and making it available when production is low or electricity prices are high, the system significantly increases self-consumption and improves energy flexibility. The solution helps reduce operating costs, optimize peak demand management, and improve the overall efficiency of the installation. As a result, the hotel can make better use of its renewable energy resources while enhancing the reliability and sustainability of its energy infrastructure.
