One of our latest energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications: the combination of the Sungrow PowerKeeper and the SH125CX hybrid inverter. This integrated solution has been specially developed for modern commercial and industrial applications and offers: - High efficiency - Maximum safety - High flexibility for a wide range of applications Businesses can easily integrate high-performance battery storage systems to increase self-consumption, optimise energy costs, boost energy independence and achieve their sustainability targets.

As part of its commitment to sustainable operations and electric mobility, SUNTEC Energiesysteme GmbH developed an integrated energy system at its headquarters in Eibelstadt, near Würzburg, Germany. The project was designed to maximise the use of renewable energy generated on-site while meeting the growing electricity demand associated with the company's operations and EV charging infrastructure. The installation combines a 600 kWp photovoltaic system with public EV charging facilities, including a 480 kW DC ultra-fast charger and multiple AC charging points. To increase solar self-consumption and manage the site's energy demand more efficiently, SUNTEC integrated Sungrow AC- and DC-coupled battery energy storage systems with a combined capacity of approximately 890 kWh. The project was also driven by the need to limit dependence on the public electricity grid, control peak demand and comply with the site's grid import and export restrictions. By integrating photovoltaic generation, battery storage, EV charging and intelligent energy management, SUNTEC established a comprehensive energy solution that supports both its sustainability objectives and long-term operational requirements.

The project was implemented at SUNTEC's headquarters, where several energy generation, storage and consumption assets operate within a single site and share a limited low-voltage grid connection. Beyond rooftop photovoltaic panels, the installation includes building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), solar fencing and photovoltaic carports, alongside office and logistics loads, battery storage systems and extensive EV charging infrastructure. One of the main technical challenges was to coordinate these different assets while keeping grid import and export below 200 kW. This constraint required an advanced energy management and control architecture capable of dynamically balancing photovoltaic generation, battery charging and discharging, building consumption and EV charging demand. A Sungrow Logger and Sungrow EMS300CP provide the monitoring and control functions required to manage these interactions. The site also incorporates a backup power concept designed to improve operational resilience. The office building and logistics centre are connected to a backup system based on a Sungrow SH125CX hybrid inverter and a 200 kWh PowerKeeper battery system, enabling designated facility loads to receive backup power during a grid outage, subject to the system's configuration and available capacity. Together with the larger PowerStack storage systems, this infrastructure brings renewable energy generation, intelligent energy management, electric mobility and backup power capabilities into one integrated solution. The combination of diverse energy assets, restricted grid capacity and continuity requirements makes the project a relevant reference for complex commercial and industrial energy applications.

The integrated photovoltaic and battery storage solution enables SUNTEC to maximise the use of locally generated solar energy, increasing self-consumption and reducing dependence on electricity from the public grid. The battery systems help minimise energy curtailment caused by the grid export limitation and support the site's extensive EV charging infrastructure, including its 480 kW DC ultra-fast charger. Through peak shaving and intelligent battery management, the system reduces grid electricity demand during periods of high consumption and creates opportunities to optimise energy costs by shifting electricity use towards lower-price periods. The Sungrow Logger and EMS300CP coordinate photovoltaic generation, battery operation and charging loads, helping maintain grid import and export below the specified 200 kW limit. In addition, the dedicated backup system enhances energy security by supporting designated office and logistics loads during grid outages. Overall, the installation combines renewable energy generation, energy storage, electric mobility and intelligent energy management to improve energy utilisation, operational resilience and the site's long-term energy efficiency.
