The poultry farm faced a significant imbalance between energy generation and consumption. While its operations required only about 100 megawatt-hours of electricity per year, the farm’s solar panels produced nearly 750 megawatt-hours annually. This surplus energy could not be effectively utilized without an advanced storage solution. The challenge was to find a system that could bridge this gap, ensuring efficient use of solar power, reducing reliance on the grid, and maintaining reliable operations even in the event of power outages.

Implementing Sungrow’s PowerStack for Reliable Energy Storage
To address the mismatch between solar generation and energy consumption, the poultry farm partnered with Solar Crew to deploy Sungrow’s PowerStack energy storage system. The installation offers 916 kilowatt-hours of capacity and 440 kilowatts of power output, supported by a PCS inverter and four batteries with 225 kilowatt-hours of usable capacity. Designed with advanced liquid cooling and heating technology, the PowerStack provides both efficiency and long-term reliability. Beyond storing excess solar energy for later use, the system ensures uninterrupted power during outages, helping the farm reduce grid dependence while maximizing the value of its renewable generation.
