The Meadowvale Tennis Club in Ireland, true to its motto “Affordable Tennis for Everyone”, has recently taken a big step towards sustainability by implementing a solar energy project to cut night-lighting costs. With the support of our installation partner Solar Clarity, who has already completed 118 Projects with Sungrow, the club is now powered by a Sungrow Hybrid Inverter and Battery, bringing both savings and sustainability to the court.

The club deployed a three-phase Sungrow hybrid PV and battery system designed to handle high evening loads from floodlighting while maintaining stable on-site power supply. The installation combines a 10 kW hybrid inverter with battery storage scalable up to 26 kWh, allowing solar energy generated during the day to be stored and used during peak night-time operation. This configuration significantly reduces grid draw during high-consumption hours and improves overall self-consumption.

System performance is managed through iSolarCloud, enabling clear, real-time tracking of solar generation, battery charging and discharging, and grid interaction. This transparency allows both the installer and the club to verify system behavior and optimize energy use, particularly during high-demand evening hours. The system delivers stable daily output under favorable weather conditions and reliably supports energy-intensive floodlighting. Installed by experienced partner Solar Clarity, the solution uses Sungrow technology to ensure high safety standards, operational stability, and long-term performance for a community-scale sports facility.
