The Stendal project responds directly to this need by providing 230 MWh of storage capacity that can help balance variable renewable generation and support a more resilient power system. The project is also significant for Nofar Energy’s activities in Germany. Nofar Germany describes its Stendal standalone BESS project as a demonstration of its commitment to advancing energy flexibility and innovation in the German market.

The Stendal project delivers large-scale storage capacity to support Germany’s transition toward a more flexible, renewable-based energy system. With 116 MW of power and 230 MWh of capacity, the system is designed to provide fast and flexible response for grid balancing, renewable energy integration, and improved system stability. Its scale also reflects the growing importance of battery energy storage as critical infrastructure for the German power market.

PowerTitan 2.0 adds strong value to the Stendal project through its integrated, pre-assembled and scalable utility-scale design. The ST5015UX-2H combines liquid-cooled battery storage technology, factory function testing, online monitoring and back-to-back layout support, helping reduce on-site work and simplify commissioning. With 46 PowerTitan 2.0 units and 23 medium-voltage stations, the solution supports efficient installation, reliable long-term operation and convenient O&M, helping ensure a smooth transition from construction to operation.
