The Gamu utility-scale Photovoltaic plant is located in Gamu, Isabela Province, Philippines, with a total site area of 45.5 hectares and an installed capacity of 56 MWp. As a flagship renewable energy project in the Philippines, it is the first to obtain a Perpetual Certificate of Compliance (COC) and has successfully signed a national RE Payment Agreement (REPA) . With its outstanding development efficiency, rigorous compliance management, and professional operational capabilities, the project has set a new industry benchmark.
The Gamu Photovoltaic plant is also one of the first utility-scale greenfield PV projects successfully developed by a Chinese company in the Philippines, laying a solid foundation for China-Philippines cooperation in the renewable energy sector. While ensuring a stable and clean energy supply for the Philippines, the project actively fulfills its social responsibility through diversified community empowerment initiatives. These efforts have injected strong momentum into local economic development and significantly contributed to the region's sustainable growth.
Sungrow's Renewable Energy business unit recently demonstrated its strong commitment to corporate social responsibility by generously donating over 1000 stationery sets and bags to local schools across the Philippines. This impactful initiative aims to empower students by providing essential learning tools, thereby alleviating financial burdens on families and fostering a more conducive environment for education. By investing in the future of these young learners, Sungrow not only reinforces its dedication to sustainable development beyond clean energy but also strengthens its bond with the communities it serves, embodying its mission to make a positive difference in society.
Beyond their core business, Sungrow's Philippine team actively champions environmental stewardship through regular public welfare activities. Their initiatives often involve local community engagement in projects such as coastal clean-ups, waste segregation drives, and educational workshops, all aimed at promoting ecological awareness and protecting the natural beauty of the region.
