To enhance grid stability, accelerate the integration of renewable energy, and drive innovation for Europe's energy transition, Sungrow has supported the Netherlands-Belgium-Luxembourg region in achieving a milestone PowerStack energy storage system installation project.
The core of the project consists of 18 Sungrow PowerStack integrated systems, with a total energy storage capacity of 2 MW / 4 MWh — enough to meet the daily electricity demand of approximately 800 households. It primarily serves a commercial greenhouse that previously relied on gas generators.
For the Benelux region, this landmark project’s on-schedule completion reflects growing demand for utility -scale energy storage and signals market maturity. Energy storage has shifted from a “future trend” to a “present necessity,” serving as a core pillar for grid stability, renewable integration, and decentralized energy systems. Once operational, it will balance grid supply and demand — providing backup power during outages — enhance energy resilience, increase storage capacity, reduce fossil fuel reliance, and meet the urgent need for scalable storage solutions that support both commercial and sustainability goals.
